another night in the garage on mybj40

Well I spent the last two nights taken out my kick vents , scraping out the old seal , sanding and painting with rust zero and putting back on a new seal that CCOT sent me for free with another order. I cant say enough about getting anything free in the world thanks CCOT. Anyway it helps when your scraping to have the kick vents on something soft. So I have a few scratches on the vents now. O well... I also tried to treat some of the rust on the main body with some POR> I have had this can for several months now and its self life is pretty good if you store it right. I have a C clamp holding the lid very tight to keep air out. Works great. I think next I am pulling out the seats and clean them up and re paint the backs . Then when I get the new tail gate the hard top will come off.

KC lights work

Well I thought I would tinker a little bit one night and started out looking at switch on the dash that has never worked. I thought that it maybe connected to the two KC lights on the front but they never worked. I started messing with it and what do you know one of the KC lights came on . So I opened up the other one and started cleaning the connections and sure enough , it came on to. So I took the lights off and cleaned the glass and inside and they now look great..

mybj40 has a new front head light.

Well after messing with the lights the new light's screw is a little shorter than the OEM. I could barely get it on the fender and screwed down. But, I did and I hooked up all the wires and tested them out. All work great. love it...... Next is the soft top....

OBX - Adventure with Tacoma TRD

Well after failing to read the signs which say 20 psi tire pressure recommended , I got stuck shortly after this picture was taken.
